Automatic renewal allows you to enjoy continuous access to our services.
With automatic renewals, at the end of the usage period, the pass will be automatically renewed for the same period and at the same price as the first time (however, at the time of the first purchase or redemption, you will be separately notified if it will be automatically renewed at a different period or price different from the first time. Also, benefits that apply only to the first time will not be applied to subsequent payments).
While automatic renewal is active, before the next payment is made, by purchasing a new pass for a different period of automatic renewal, you can change the automatic renewal from the next time onward to the same period and the same price as the newly purchased pass. (However, benefits that apply only at the time of the initial purchase will not apply to subsequent payments.)
With automatic renewals, at the end of the usage period, the pass will be automatically renewed at the same price until the same time on the corresponding day of the following month (however, at the time of the first purchase or redemption, you will be separately notified if it will be automatically renewed with a different period or different price from the first time. Also, benefits that apply only to the first time will not be applied to subsequent payments).
If the day corresponding to the end date of the usage period does not exist in the following month, it will be automatically renewed until the same time on the last day of the month. The same applies thereafter.
While automatic renewal is active (including after cancelling renewal), new passes cannot be purchased.
For automatic renewals, before the usage period ends, the amount required for the next period will be automatically paid from the balance.
The scheduled payment date and time is 48 hours before the usage period of the pass expires.
At the time of automatic renewal, if your balance is insufficient, the insufficient amount will be added to the balance using the set payment method, and then the payment will be processed.
If "Funds Only" is selected, automatic renewal will take place only if your balance is sufficient.
You can change payment methods at any time in Funds and Payment Methods in your Nintendo Account.
Those under 18 years of age cannot set a payment method.
The necessary amount for the next period will be automatically paid from your balance.
If you cancel automatic renewal by the scheduled date and time of the next payment, the period from the next time onward will not be extended (except in the case where a monthly-type pass automatic renewal is reactivated). Unless you cancel the renewal, in principle, renewal will continue indefinitely. However, regarding Nintendo Switch Online, in order to avoid double payments for the same service as much as possible, Nintendo may cancel the automatic renewal of your membership. Also, if the payment procedure is not completed due to insufficient balance or other reasons, the automatic renewal may be cancelled by Nintendo.
You can cancel automatic renewal for a pass on the Passes screen, found via Passes in your Nintendo Account settings. To cancel automatic renewal for a Nintendo Switch Online membership, select the option in Nintendo Switch Online in your Nintendo Account settings.
Please note that you cannot change the country/region setting for your Nintendo Account if automatic renewal is enabled.
In order to change the country/region setting, you must first cancel all automatic renewals.
Notifications regarding automatic renewal will be sent to the email address of the Nintendo Account. In the case of a child account, they will be sent to the email address of the parent/guardian (family group administrator).
During the period of use of the automatic renewal, the service content and usage cost may change.
If any of the above content is changed, you will be notified in advance via a posting on our website, email or other methods.
