Cargo Rail Tycoon

Nintendo Switch

Drive the train. Build the empire.

Cargo Rail Tycoon is a trading and train-driving game set on the railways of Michigan. You are a freight entrepreneur with one simple goal: turn a small convoy and a modest bankroll into a rail empire. Buy goods where they are cheap, load your wagons, and haul them across the map to the towns that need them most — profit is made on the journey, not on the spot. But this isn't a game you play from a spreadsheet. Every trip puts you in the cab. You drive the train yourself: open the throttle on the straights, ease off through the curves — brake too late and you derail — and read the signs at each switch to reach the right town. Bandits may block the tracks; stop and haggle the ransom down, or pay the price. Arrive fast for a bonus, but arrive at the right destination or lose out. Between journeys you negotiate face-to-face with each town's station master. Haggle their margin down before you trade — offer low, and watch them squirm — then choose your next destination wisely and roll out again. Twenty-six towns are waiting, and the farther north you push, the bigger the rewards for those willing to travel. Turn cargo into cash, cash into a bigger convoy, and a bigger convoy into a fortune — just don't go bankrupt on the way. Key features -Trade across 26 towns — a living supply-and-demand economy where prices rise and fall. Find the routes, corner the goods, grow your cash. -Drive every train — first-person rail journeys where speed, curves, braking and route choices are all yours. Go too fast and you derail; take the wrong turn and you arrive at the wrong town. -Haggle every deal — negotiate the station master's margin down with a multi-round back-and-forth. Push too hard and he'll dig in. -Bandit roadblocks — stop and negotiate the ransom, or plough through and pay for it. -Build your convoy — buy wagons matched to your cargo and expand your train as your business grows. -A fresh route every trip — procedurally generated railways with curves, bridges, rivers and scenery, and a destination that can lie straight ahead, left or right — follow the signs. -Explore the whole map — the far-north towns pay the best prices, rewarding the boldest hauls.
