Set four years after “Muv-Luv Unlimited”, the humans left on Earth must now fight for their survival.
◇ ‘What is “Muv-Luv UNLIMITED: The Day After”?’ A spin-off title of the Muv-Luv series, following on from ‘Muv-Luv’ and ‘Muv-Luv Alternative’. The first title in a spin-off series originating from “Muv-Luv Unlimited”, which diverges into a different future from the anime-adapted “Muv-Luv Alternative.” After protagonist Shirogane Takeru sees the heroine’s escape from Earth in “Muv-Luv Unlimited”, the story depicts those left behind on Earth who nonetheless continue to fight against their doom. ◇ Story The human evacuation plan to the Barnard’s Star system was carried out, and five days after the massive gravitational distortion caused by humanity’s desperate counteroffensive, Operation Babylon, those left on Earth continued to struggle for survival. A small group of survivors gathered on the stranded U.S. aircraft carrier JFK, still desperately searching for a safe haven. That day, U.S. Marine Second Lieutenant Wilbert D. Collins picked up a faint distress signal during a reconnaissance mission and moved to investigate.
